The Sapphire Module: Communicate to Automate

The Sapphire module is the communication centre of the GEMS system and is used to integrate the system with other devices in order to automate a process. It is also used to convey information about the GEMS system to the user via display, sound or web interface. Because all GEMS modules are interconnected the Sapphire module can coordinate their actions.
