Citrine
The Citrine Module: Baby Steps
The Citrine module plays a support role the GEMS system and is used by the students to start and practice soldering of SMD components on a simple example with IC555 astable circuit that results in blinking LEDs. Components are connected using external wires that allow for changes in the circuit without changing the PCB. Passive components can be connected in series or in parallel to tune the blinking frequency to the desired value.
Acquired soldering skills are useful when soldering components of other GEMS modules.
