MOOCs evaluation meeting

The GEMS project team held its third meeting on November 7-8, 2024, at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands. Project partners — University of Alcalá (Spain), TU Delft (Netherlands), Teaching Factory Competence Center (Greece), and University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) — gathered to advance the design of mechatronics-focused MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), which will be featured on the TU Delft Extension School platform.

Discussions centered on ensuring high-quality content delivery, with an emphasis on producing engaging video lectures and assignments designed for automatic assessment. Each partner presented their course storyboards and received constructive feedback, sparking helpful insights for refining video production, interactive components, and assessment design. TU Delft’s expertise in MOOC development provided a valuable framework and practical guidance, drawing from the university’s extensive experience with online education.

TU Delft as the meeting location enriched the team’s experience, providing an inspiring atmosphere at one of the world’s leading technical universities. Located in the historic city of Delft, known for its rich tradition and academic innovation, the meeting underscored the project’s aim to build educational resources that inspire a new generation of mechatronics professionals.
