Amethyst at Mechatronics and Laser Technologies tutorials in 2024/25

The GEMS Amethyst development board once again demonstrated its success in the Mechatronics and Laser Technologies course during the 2024/25 academic year. A total of 124 students independently assembled their own microcontroller boards to use both at home and at university — a 27.8% increase in class size compared to the previous year. While learning to use the development board, some student project groups created really impressive and innovative WiFi-enabled applications.
